Indenture between William Grove, of Shaston, Dorset, esquire, on one part and Thomas Hamam, James Hamam, Matthew Ewyns, Robert Freke, Edmond Downinge, John Bulkeley, esquires, Hugh Kete, Walter Grove, John Marvyn, Thomas Awbrey the younger, John Budden and William Swanton, gentlemen, on the other part, by which William Grove grants to Thomas Hamam, James Hamam, Matthew Ewyns, Robert Freke, Edmond Downinge, John Bulkeley, Hugh Kete, Walter Grove, John Marvyn, Thomas Awbrey the younger, John Budden and William Swanton, the manor of Sedgehill, Wiltshire, and messuages, lands, tenements, rents, revenues, and all the premises with appurtenances in Sedgehill and Semley, and his house, messuage and farm in Donhead Andrew, and lands, tenements, rents, revenues, services, woods, under-woods, profits, commodities, hereditaments, with appurtenances in Donhead Andrew, Donhead Mary, Ludwell, Charlton, Melbury Abbas, Compton Abbas, Fontmell, Cann, Shaston and Alyncester, in Wiltshire and Dorset, to be sold by them, in order that he can have money for his daughters' weddings, and on behalf of his other sons.
