Grant by William Goddard of Carlton, Bedfordshire, to Oliver St. John of Bletsoe, Bedfordshire, Amyas Pawlett, Thomas Wells and John Marshall of Watton, of all his lands, tenements, hereditaments, with appurtenances in Carlton, Cherlington, Pavenham, and Turvey, Bedfordshire, which he bought from Thomas Adams and the lands and tenements in Felmersham, which he bought from William Hall, to be held by them on behalf of himself and after his death on behalf of Edith Pawlett and William Goddard, her son, accordingly to a previous indenture made between William Goddard and Nicholas Pawlett, of Minty, Gloucestershire, Edith's father.
Endorsed: memorandum that the lands were delivered. Witnesses: William Anglesey junior, Richard Byshop, E. Greene, John Parker, Richard Redford and Rees Huens. Note that the deed was showed to Thomas Welles, William Anglesey and Edmund Greene on 27 September 1626 before William Dudley, John Cobbe and John Bromhall, commissioners.
