Description

Indenture between Roger Codner, fishdriver, and Henry Codner, smith, two of the sons of John Codner the elder of Kings Kerswell (Kinges Kerswill'), Devon, and John Codner the younger, son of Edward Codner of Kings Kerswell, on one part, and Thomas Rudgewaye of Torwood Garden (Torrwoode), Devon, on the other part, reciting the surrender by Roger, Henry and John Codrier to Thomas Rudgewaye of all their estate, right, title, remainder, use, interest, possession, claim and demand in a meadow called "Brodemeade" in Coffinswell (Coffyns Well), Devon, held by John Codner the elder during the period of title and possession of the Codners. Thomas Rudgewaye has to pay £200 to them by 24 June 1582.
