Description

Indenture of bargain and sale between John Layden, wheelwright of Hempstead (Hempsted), Essex, and John Banges the elder, yeoman of Hempstead, stating that John Layden sold to John Banges for £21 10s. a 'pitell' of pasture called Crackmans, of one around acre, in Hempstead, with appurtenances. Boundaries are listed.

Witnesses: Thomas Smyth, John Beeff and Robert Byshop.

Endorsed: The deed of John Banges thelder from John Layden. Holographic signature and seal of John Layden.
