Description

Grant by Matthew de Lumpleya to Philip de Leya of all his possessions in Tanfield (Thamfeld, Thampheld) and Crook (Croch, Crohc), Durham, held by Robert son of Alwin, his grandfather, with all the appurtenances in the court of Richard, bishop of Durham, for 8 silver marks and 8 bovates of lands and 2 tofts in Crook.

Witnesses: Adam de [Ye...d], Roger Daudri, [Al]an Hairun, Robert son of Thomas, Geoffrey son of Geoffrey, Simon de Bruntoft, William de Latona, Henry of Folkington (Folkenton), Walter de Monasteriis, Robert de Monasteriis, Ralph de Applingdene, Reginald Basseth and many others.
