Description

Indenture recording the exchange of lands between Nicholas Sybyll and John Lovelace both of Kingsdown, near Dartford, Kent. Sale by Nicholas Sybyll to John Lovelace of 18 acres of land and wood in Farningham, called Little Cowlese and Dodeshamhill, boundaries are listed, receiving as payment £5 8s 4d; sale by John Lovelace to Nicholas Sybyll of two parcels of land and bushes, one of 12 acres and the other one of 9 acres, boundaries are listed, receiving as payment £6 13s 4d, due one year after the death of Agnes Sybyll, Nicholas Sybyll's mother.

Witnesses: Edward Asshe and John Weston.

[Endorsed]Receipt of the payment by Nicholas Sybyll to John Lovelace of £6 13s 4d on 10 July 1539, according to the tenor of the indenture. Witnesses: Thomas Sybyll, John Sybyll, John Symkyns, William Herde, John Gardenere, and Thomas Marschall.
