Indenture concerning a common recovery against Richard Kirkham of Blagdon, Devon, esquire, by Edward Cary of Exeter, esquire, Thomas Risedon of Sandwell, Devon, esquire, William Cape of London, gentleman, and John Cable of Paignton, Devon, yeoman, of the manor of 'Collaton Kirkham alias Collaton Chapel', Devon, to the use of Richard Kirkham for life, and on his death to be divided between his sisters Grace and Barbara, on condition that Richard Kirkham fulfils the will of Sir William Kirkham, late of Blagdon, Devon, deceased, father of Richard Kirkham, who bequeathed to Grace Kirkham and Barbara Kirkham £400 each on their marriage or at the age of 24 years, increased to 1, 000 marks if they marry at the approval of Lady Kirkham and Richard Kirkham.
