Indenture between Sir Edward Cleere of Thetford, Norfolk, John Smyth of Blickling [Blicklinge], Norfolk, esquire, Roger Godsall of Buckenham Ferry [Buckenhamferrie], Norfolk, esquire, and Nicholas Heron of Arminghall, Norfolk, esquire, on the one part, and Sir Robert Drury of Hawstead [Hawsteed], Suffolk, knight, on the other part. Whereby Drury was granted for the sum of £1880 paid in hand to Cleere before the sealing of this document, the site of the manor of Snarehill and Mellford mill, Norfolk with the fishing at the wheel and all appurtenances (listed). Drury is to pay the tithe on the land, all other obligations being discharged by the sellers. The sellers make Thomas Drury and Gabriel Catchpoole their attorneys for the transaction.
