Description

Obligation between Gerard Read of London, merchant, on the one part, and Peter Alston of Bramford, Suffolk, gentleman, on the other part, for £1, 000. Condition of the obligation is that £587 10s is paid to Peter Alston on 31 March 1620.

Sealed and delivered in the presence of Simon Smith, Lancelot Fennicke and John Hartt.

Seal and signature of Gerard Read.

[Endorsed] note dated 22 November 1622 of various bills received by Peter Alston from Robert Grenewill of London, merchant tailor, William Cokayne, citizen and skinner of London, Laurence Read, skinner, and Gerard Read, founder of London, George Read and John Read. The bills amount to £774 3s 7d. Signed Francis Andrew.
