6th and 9th Battalions, Rifle Brigade, formerly Westmeath Militia. The Westmeath Militia became the 9th Battalion Rifle Brigade, but was later amalgamated with the Royal Longford Militia and became part of the 6th Battalion Rifle Brigade.
PLEASE NOTE: The references to the two volumes in this piece have been reassigned and should be ordered as WO 68/439A and WO 68/439B respectvely.
