Salaried staff register [No 2, pages 3569-4048] - Miscellaneous departments. Departments listed include audit, chief accountants, accountant's, expenditure (including clerks and messengers), solicitors, rates and taxes, medical (including a surgeon and medical officer), church and school, hotel, refreshment, insurance and provident and pension societies, Great Western (including company's storekeeper), North London (including manager), canal navigation (including clerks, draughtsmen and inspectors), secretary's and general manager's, library and literary association, and laundry.
Includes some or all of the following: name, capacity, date of birth, date of entry into service, annual rate, date and where transferred from or to or date of leaving, with reasons for departure from service.
Includes details of female clerks and retiring allowances for various departments.
