Grant descriptions and dates: four fifteenths and tenths granted by Parliament 1589 March 17 and another two fifteenths and tenths granted by Parliament 1585 March 13. Document description: Assessments (communal), volume of 46 folios. The first document is the particulars of account for the first collection of the four fifteenths and tenths in the northern half of Somerset (ff. 1-9), the second is the particulars of account for the second collection of the same grant in the southern half of Somerset (ff. 9-22), the third is the particulars of account for the fourth collection of the four fifteenths and tenths in the southern half of Wiltshire (ff. 23-33), and the final document is the assessment for the southern part of Somerset for the second of the two fifteenths and tenths (ff. 34-46).
