Includes names of individuals Material collected together for the audit of Sir William Boothby, sheriff of Derbyshire, for the collection at Michaelmas 1662. Originally stored in a canvas bag, now at the end of the book, and was sorted and arranged in its present form in 1927. At the beginning is a summary of the administrative and archival history and contents of the documents.
Mainly returns by high and petty constables for the 1662 assessment in each constabulary. Folios 1-3 is a checklist showing which petty constables had returned their assessments. Folios 227-229 are three schedules of arrears compiled at the Exchequer shortly before Boothby's account was declared in December 1664. Folio 227 is the collectable arrears pending upon individuals; folio 228 contains arrears pending upon constables; and folio 229 contains 'desparate arrears' pending upon individuals.
