Grant description and date: three subsidies granted by Parliament 1597 Dec 16.
Document description: Assessment (individuals) and certificate of assessment for the second collection, roll of 3 mems. Includes names of individuals. This piece forms the first rotulet of what was once a much larger roll for the region of Richmondshire. The certificate relates to all five wapentakes, and is followed by the assessment for the wapentake of Gilling East. At least one further assessment was once attached; this is probably the equivalent assessment for Gilling West wapentake, now in E 179/213/300.
