Document description: Accounts, file of 2 mems. Compotus of Sir Thomas Brounflete, former sheriff of Yorkshire (1414-15), for rents collected from various specified lands seized by the Crown from John Chilton, William Styrkard and Brian de Swynton, three former collectors of this tax. The compoti of various other sheriffs survive in E 179/211/50 and E 179/211/52-54, while the compotus for the 1413 grant itself is in E 179/211/55. Does not relate to revenue from the tax itself.
