Description

County: Hampshire; Dorset.

Grant description and date: hearth tax granted by Parliament 1662 May 19.

Document description: Receipt, certificates of exemption, jottings sheets, label, wrappers, bond and certificate of re-assessment for the fifteenth and sixteenth collections, volume of 351 folios. Includes names of individuals. Consists primarily of Hampshire certificates of exemption for the hearth tax. However, the piece also contains one certificate for Hampreston, in Dorset.
