Description

County: Leicestershire Grant description and date: subsidy ('relief') granted by Parliament 1549 March 12 Document description: Assessments (individuals) and certificates of assessment for the fourth collection, roll of 10 rots.

Includes names of individuals Rot 1, assessment for Gartree hundred; rot 2 assessment for Leicester town, very damaged, cf. E 179/134/173/1; rots 3-4, assessment for Goscote hundred; rot 5, assessment for Framland hundred; rot 6, assessment for Sparkenhoe hundred; rot 7, certificate for Sparkenhoe; rot 8, certificate for whole of Goscote hundred - assessment for west part of this hundred now, E 179/134/177; rot 9, certificate for Leicester town; rot 10, certificate for Gartree hundred. E 179/134/155 shows that collector was responsible for Sparkenhoe, Framland and Gartree or Goscote hundreds.
