V5955. Contested cause. Captured ship: Vrouw Constantia (master Thomas Pieterse).
History: a Dutch ship, bound from Surinam to Amsterdam, laden with sugar cotton and coffee; taken off the Lizard on 17 May 1803 under embargo by a naval squadron of 13 ships under command of Lord Cornwallis, and brought into Plymouth.
