Description

Nine sets of attestations of Portuguese merchants in London in the High Court of Admiralty of England relating to the ownership of cargoes shipped in various seized ships, with annexed schedules detailing the goods. Packets 1-5 and 7-8 are still sealed.

These nine documents relate to these 14 ships:

  • Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, alias La Ninfa;
  • Nuestra Señora del Carmen y St Jorge, alias St Jorge, Don Luis de Herrera commanding;
  • St Miguel, alias El Sabio Solomon;
  • Nuestra Señora del Rosario y St Joseph, alias La Balena, Don Tomas Navarro commanding;
  • Jesus Nazareno, alias La Paz, Don Juan de Echavarri commanding;
  • Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, alias La Princessa, Don Juan Joseph de Espinosa commanding;
  • Salvador del Mundo, Don Philipe Basilio Dominguez commanding;
  • Nuestra Señora de la Deliveranca, alias Our Lady of the Deliverance, alias Notre Dame de la Deliverance, Don Pedro Litant commanding [Pierre Litant];
  • Louis Erasme, [Pierre de] La Vigne Quesnel, commanding;
