Particulars: Captain Olivier Dominique Gaye. Correspondence from St Domingue to France, predominantly to merchants in Nantes. One bundle, labelled French Government Letters, includes correspondence and other documentation dated 29 September 1778 from Teremboure, Lassalle and Company in Port au Prince to the Directors of the French Guyana Company in Paris, with details of the sale in Port au Prince, in June 1778, of 393 slaves brought from Juda, Gold Coast, aboard the Guyana Company ship Comte de Vergennes, under Captain Constantin.
