Particulars: Correspondence from the Isle de France and Isle de Bourbon to metropolitan France. Includes reports from a monsieur Launay, merchant, to Antoine de Sartine, French Minister for the Navy in Paris, discussing the conduct of officials on the Isle de France, the situation regarding the British in India, and suggesting that corsaires from Boston (USA) be stationed at Port Louis to attack English shipping in the event of war breaking out. This piece also includes various other letters to de Sartine, papers relating to a court case between the Comtesse de Coaslin and Marechal Charles de Verdiere, and other correspondence from the islands of France and Bourbon to metropolitan France and India.
