Directgov was the UK government's website for citizens in England and Wales which delivered information and practical advice about public services and public sector information, by bringing them all together in one place. It provided a single point of access by means of digital services (e.g. the internet, digital television, mobile phones, or analogue teletext pages). Many government departments contributed to the site, working with a central Directgov team. Since 2006, users in England have been able to find out about a wide range of local services provided by local councils and authorities in their areas. Since 2007, there has also been a separate website DirectgovKids, designed to help children aged 5 to 11.

Directgov was launched in April 2004, replacing the UK Online Portal. It was originally administered by the Cabinet Office's e-Government Unit. In April 2006, Directgov moved to become part of the Central Office of Information (COI), an executive agency of the Cabinet Office. From 1 April 2008, in a machinery of government change, the Directgov team moved again, from the COI to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). On 20 July 2010, Directgov was moved back to the Cabinet Office from the Department of Work and Pensions. On 1 April 2011 Directgov became part of the Government Digital Service.

On 17 October 2012 the site was replaced, along with the Business Link website, by the new GOV.UK website with the old websites redirecting to the new.
