The Student Loans Company Ltd (SLC) is wholly owned by the UK Government and the devolved administrations. It was established in 1989 to provide students with additional help towards living costs in the form of low-interest loans, and collecting loan repayments alongside HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
SLC are located at four sites across the UK, with two in Glasgow (Bothwell Street and Hillington), Darlington (Student Finance England) and Llandudno Junction (Student Finance Wales).
