Description

Enemy armed raiders and supply ships: encounters with British and Allied ships; Battle of the River Plate; German raiders and supply ships in Japan. Includes 28 photographs depicting: Damage to HMS Kimberley showing hole in side, patch over hole, shell splinters, nose cap of shell and hole in steam pipes of engine room. Views also of Harmil Island, Red Sea: battery and attacks on shipping; Italian Raider RAMB 1, sunk by HMS Lea. Dated 1940-1941.
