Description

Medical and surgical journal of HMS Gorgon for 7 November 1860 to 31 December 1861 by David Ramsay, Surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed in the Cape of Good Hope Station. Also includes a description of SE Africa.

Folio 1: Thomas Farrell, aged 22, stoker; case number 2; disease or hurt, abscess. Put on sick list, 10 November 1860. Discharged 16 November 1860 to Haslar Hospital.

Folios 1-2: William Wright, aged 22, shipwright; case number 3; disease or hurt, syphillis. Put on sick list, 11 November 1860. Discharged 16 November 1860 to Haslar Hospital.
