Medical and surgical journal of the wounded ship’s company of HMS Hermes between 15 September and 28 October 1814 by James Wilson, Surgeon. HMS Hermes ran aground during an unsuccessful attack on Fort Bowyer, Mobile, Alabama on 15 September 1814 and was subsequently set on fire by Captain Sir William H.Percy to prevent her from falling into enemy hands. (Described at item level).
