Folios 22-24: Surgeon’s general remarks. 7 April 1830 embarked the Guards consisting of one commissioned, two non commissioned officers and 27 rank and file of H.M 17th Regiment of Foot, attended by six women and three children all in good health, one of the children had not been vaccinated (total 39). 12 April 1830 received 50 male convicts from the Ganymede Hulk at Woolwich all appeared healthy except case number 3. 13 April 1830 received 50 male convicts from the Justicia Hulk at Woolwich which appeared healthy at the time of inspection, subsequently a boy Joseph Broomley complained of incontinence of urine. 16 April 1830 at Sheerness received 40 male convicts from the Retribution hulk all in excellent health. On 17 April 1830 received 40 male convicts from the Retribution Hulk all in excellent health. 17 April 1830 received 40 male convicts from the Euryalus Hulk at Chatham all in good health making a total of 200 convicts (and a total of 239 all told). We sailed from Sheerness on 27 April 1830 and finally from the Downes on 28 April 1830.
