Medical journal of the convict ship Euryalus for 10 February to 10 March 1847 by William Graham, Surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed in a passge from Sheerness to Gibraltar.

Folios 1A-3: Charles Orten, aged 24, convict; case number 1; sick or hurt, continued fever, had embarked in the Euryalus three days ago from Millbank prison; put on sick list, 13 February 1847 in the Downs; discharged 6 March 1847 cured.
Folio 4: John Jackson, aged 51, convict; case number 2; sick or hurt, general paralysis of upper and lower extremities, previously suffered from a debilitated constitution, 'probable his attack was induced from cold to which he was exposed on the way down to Sheerness from London'; put on sick list, 13 February 1847 in the Downs; died 16 February 1847.
Folio 5: Evan Roberts, aged 22, convict; case number 3; sick or hurt, diarrhoea, had previously been in Millbank prison; put on sick list, 13 February 1847 in the Downs; died 16 February 1847.

Folios 7A-8: Thomas Meade, aged 20, convict; case number 6; sick or hurt, gastro-enteritis, had been slightly unwell when embarked in the Euryalus from Millbank prison three weeks ago; put on sick list, 2 March 1847 at sea; discharged 9 March1847 cured. Folio 8: a nosological synopsis of the sick book.
Folios 9-11: Surgeon's general remarks. The Euryalus having been fitted up as a convict hulk for service at Gibraltar, sailed from Sheerness on 12 February 1847 having on board 300 male convicts, 12 civil and 30 military guards, 8 women and 26 children together with 5 officers, and 55 men belonging to the Apollo troop ship who were put on board for the purpose of navigating the Euryalus from England to Gibraltar. The ship had been employed as a convict-hulk at Chatham for upwards of 20 years, is frigate built, and ventilated by ports on each side of the decks together with three small hatchways from the upper deck. Although well fitted for harbour service the Euryalus was ill adapted for a sea voyage The case of dyspepsia was one which originated from functional derangement of the stomach and bowels and readily yielded to aperients of Gregory's powder, infusion of gention, and regulated diet.
