Middlesex: Stepney (now in London Borough of Hackney). Five sheets of architectural drawings of houses in Union Place (now Dereham Place), between Rivington Street and Batemans Row, to the east of Curtain Road, off Old Street. Each sheet is entitled 'Mackay's Escheat', and drawn at a scale of 1 inch to 8 feet. Drawn by Nathaniel J Stranger. (3) and (4) Dated 17 February, 1885. (1), (2) and (5) Dated 17 April 1885. (1) Ground plan of properties around Union Place, showing house numbers, and internal features such as doorways, fireplaces, staircases, yards and outdoor privies. Nos 1 and 2 Union Place drawn in red ink. (2) First floor plan of properties on (1); nos 1 and 2 Union Place drawn in red ink. (3) Basement and second floor plans of 110-116 Curtain Road and 1 and 2 Union Place. Proposed extensions are drawn in red ink. (4) Three elevations on one sheet: (a) 110-116 Curtain Road: (b) flank elevation of 108 Curtain Road overlooking roof of 110; (c) elevation towards Norfolk Place. (5) Elevations of south and north sides of Union Place; nos 1 and 2 Union Place drawn in red ink.
