Description

Enclosure map of Exmoor Forest, Somerset. 'A Reduced Map of Exmoor Forest from the General Survey taken for the Purposes of the Inclosure'. Map covers the enclosed area only (20344.122 acres) and shows the land before enclosure. Also shows named roads, post, crooked post (pictorial), boundary landmarks, Hoar Oak (pictorial), relief (shown by rock drawing and hachures). Includes cartouche. With border and compass indicator. Scale: 1 inch to 15 chains. By Edward Fuller, 1817
