Description

'An Accurate Map of BERKSHIRE, Divided into its HUNDREDS'. Boundaries of hundreds coloured by hand. Title in landscape cartouche, with Garter and Crowns in foreground. Dedication to the Duke of St Albans in rococo cartouche. Descriptive notes. Scale: 1 inch to about 2¼ miles. Compass indicator. Emanuel Bowen, Geographer to his Majesty. Sold by J Bowles, T Bowles, J Tinney, R Sayer, 1756.
