Kent: Isle of Grain. 2 sheets. (1) Note of Old and New Leigh oysters sold 'this season', dated 27 April 1761. (2) Map of the area around the mouth of the River Medway, covering Sheerness, the Isle of Grain and Grain Swatch. Shows site of a proposed oyster fishery, buildings in perspective, Nore Light Vessel and soundings. Scale: 1 inch to 32 chains. Compass indicator. A marginal annotation states that this map was mentioned in an affidavit sworn by John Onion, Robert Harvey, John Watson and James Clarke, 14 July 1769.
