Essex, Kent: Admiralty Chart [1607]: River Thames sheet II. Chart of the Thames estuary from Ramsgate to the Nore. Scale: 1 inch to about 1500 yards. Compass indicators. Surveyed by Captain F Bullock, RN, 1832-1843, published 1844, corrected to 1863. Pencil note 'site of proposed jetty' in vicinity of Herne Bay, a reference to the fishery pier at Hampton Point.
