County Durham: Sunderland. Two plans entitled 'Sunderland waterworks', showing line of pipes crossing the River Wear, and banks and buildings above it. Each at a scale of 1 inch to 30 feet, and bearing a compass star. Both plans have an inset with a vertical section through the ground surface, river bed, levels of tide and upper limit of tunnel for proposed pipe. Dimensions: (1) 66 cm x 100.3 cm; (2) 65.5 cm x 99.1 cm.
