2 items extracted from HCA 32/111/48. Two charts used as covers for the log of a captured Lübeck ship, the Franciscus Primus Imperator, kept by the mater Peter Heinrich Witt of Lubeck between March 1747 and May 1748, and numbered [SP] 49 by the captors.
Detailed descriptions are given at item level.
The charts may have originally been published by Johannes van Keulen in De Groote Nieuwe Vermeerderde Zee-Atlas ofte Water-Werelt, 1682, which was re-issued by his son, Gerard van Keulen, head of the van Keulen family business in the early eighteenth century.
The rest of the ship's papers are at HCA 32/111/48
