2 items extracted from ADM 1/7508. Quebec. (1) Admiralty chart of the St Lawrence River from Point Pizeau to Frechette Island. Scale: 1 inch to 333 yards. Compass roses. Surveyed by Capt H W Bayfield RN, 1859. Corrected to August 1901. Engraved by J & C Walker. MS additions, and (2) a tracing from the chart, show the precise point of grounding, about 11/2 cables east of the southern end of the Quebec Bridge, close to the Chaudiere Bassin. Originally accompanying a report on the grounding of HMS Indefatigable 18 September 1901.
