2 items extracted from HO 45/9377/41030. Dudley, Warwickshire. (1) 'Sketch of part of the Old Buffery Colliery shewing the workings of the Thick Coal.' Scale: 1 inch to 1 chain. Compass indicator. The plan shows the mines worked by Messrs Crew. Thomas Brettell, surveyor, Dudley [1875]. (2) Letter from James Crew, the colliery manager, to the Home Secretary, 22 January 1875, reporting the abandonment of No 1 Pit.
