Reference key to buildings. (2) 'New Draught of Cape Lookout', showing the proposed site for the fort with notes on the advantages of its position. Soundings and anchorages are also shown. Compass star. Scales: (1) 1 inch to 40 yards; (2) 1 inch to 0.4 mile. From surveys by Arthur Mackay, 1756. (2) Presented to Arthur Dobbs, Governor of North Carolina. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 36.5 cm x 32.5 cm; (2) 38 cm x 38 cm.
