Map of two plots of land in South Carolina (now in the United States of America), one of 340 acres laid out according to the warrant of Governor Joseph West for Lord Ashley, Sir George Carteret and Sir Peter Colleton (three of the Lords Proprietors), the other of 160 acres for Sir Peter Colleton and partners. Acreages, adjacent proprietors, buildings within a stockade, trees on boundaries, the marshes of Ashley River to the east and the landing place (on Old Town Creek) to the north are also shown. Drawn by John Culpeper, surveyor. Scale: 1 inch to 5 chains. Compass rose.
