2 items extracted from PRO 1/115. Berkshire: Basildon. Photocopies of engraved plans of Basildon House, the seat of Sir Francis Sykes. Scale: 1 inch to 14 feet. Originals drawn by J Carr, architect and engraved and published 15 April 1797 by George Richardson, London. Photoreproductions originally accompanying correspondence dated January 1940 concerning the suitability of storing public records at Basildon House during the Second World War.
