Telegraph lines of central Europe. 1852': map of central and western Europe, also showing principal towns and railways, both open and under construction. Reference table. Scale: 2.6 inches to 93 miles; scale bars also in French, Belgian and German units. Lithographed by Day & Son. With coloured MS additions explained by a note: 'The Blue Margin shews the Countries whose Governments have acceded to the Continental Convention'. Endorsed: 'Map to accompany Captain Galton's Memorandum on the Electric Telegraph Minute No. 982 1853'.
