Part of an Admiralty chart of the North Sea, showing the east coast of England and Scotland from the Wash to the Moray Firth and parts of the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Norway. Scale: 1 inch to 16.5 miles. Compass indicators. Surveyed by Capts Hewett, [M A] Slater and [J] Washington, RN. Engraved by J & C Walker. Published by the Hydrographic Office, Admiralty, 3 October 1854. MS additions show the plotted and actual course of HMS Polyphemus, near Hautsholmen Light, Jutland, 28-29 January 1856.
