Description

1 item (enclosed in a letter dated 5 September 1808 from Richard Smith, merchant, to the Admiralty) extracted from ADM 1/5017. Chart of the sound between Falsterbo, Sweden, and Kull Point, Denmark. Compass star. Surveyed by Captain Nagaev of the Russian Navy. MS additions give the main place names in English. According to Smith this chart was based on 'a survey ordered by Peter the Great'.
