Description

Map of 'Ashop and Edall', in the High Peak, Derbyshire. Shows High Peak forest, with hamlets named (Glossop, Mellor, Chapel en le Frith, Fairfield, Wormhill, Tideswell, Hayfield, Charlesworth, Hope Woodlands and Castleton) and represented by houses in elevation; escheats, herbages, severals and wastes. In particular notes lands of the Queen's farmers; other owners also noted. No scale shown.

This map was formerly in three fragments, under the references MPC 7 (previously DL 31/7), MPC 37 (previously DL 31/7) and MPC 44 (previously DL 31/44).
