1 item extracted from CAB 131/17. 'Africa-Far East (Outline Planning Chart)': map shows Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe. Printed by Photographic & Reproductions Branch, Air Ministry, London. Coloured over-prints show existing and planned air routes between the United Kingdom (RAF Lyneham) and Australia (Darwin), with intermediary stop-overs. Key to routes. Marked: 'Secret', and 'Annex to D.C. 56 (19)'. To illustrate memorandum by the Secretary of State for Air, entitled 'The Indian Ocean Air Route' (Cabinet Defence Committee paper, D.C. (56) 19 of 4 July 1956).
