'Map of Nagasaki showing Treaty limit for foreigners to be allowed to walk round': covering the Hizen peninsula, including Nagasaki harbour and surrounding towns; also showing roads, rivers, railways, hills, coastal routes and distances from Nagasaki city. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 1 ri [1 inch to about 2.5 miles]. Compass indicator. Produced by the [Japanese] Geographic Department. Despatch number 72 seems to have been sent by Matsuika Michiyuki, prefect of Tokyo, to T G Kenney, Secretary to the British Legation, Tokyo.
