Outline map, in Japanese, showing the old and new (larger) boundaries of an area within which foreign residents might make excursions; also showing roads, rivers, mountains, and distances from the city of Nagasaki. Reference table. Compass indicator. [By] Geographical Survey Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. MS addition, in English, explaining that the new limit is the red dotted line. Both the map and accompanying documents, authorising the boundary extension, subsequently forwarded [to the Foreign Office] by J Gordon Kennedy, 4 January 1880.
