Description

1 item (originally accompanying a report by Brigadier General C R Woodroffe, Military Attaché, on Japanese Army manoeuvres, Tokyo, 17 December 1920) extracted from FO 371/6680 (folio 214). Japan: Kyushu. 'Nakatsu and That [sic] Districts': map (of territory now in Oita prefecture) showing railways, roads, towns, rivers, bridges and contours in the vicinity of Nakatsu Compass indicator. Subsequently enclosed in despatch number 587 of Sir C Eliot, Tokyo, to the Secretary of State, Foreign Office, 13 December 1920; placed in Foreign Office file F 201/201/23: 'Japan: Grand Manoeuvres of the Japanese Army 1920', 17 January 1921.
