'Plan of Improvements at Nagasaki Proposed by the Japanese Government': showing the waterfront, with the foreign settlement, Custom House, and Chinese and Japanese areas; also showing waterways, bridges, a jetty, a garden and existing and proposed roads. Reference table. Compass indicator. The letter concerned Parkes's negotiations with the Japanese for improving the condition of the foreign settlement at Nagasaki.
