'Sketch Map of the greater part of the Province of Echigo [now part of Niigata prefecture], showing the Chief Products of the District around Niigata': also showing towns rivers, hills, the coastline, planned railways, etc. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 6 miles (calculated). Formerly enclosed, with the report, in Foreign Office despatch number 4 from Vice-Consul James Troup, Niigata, to Sir Harry Parkes, Tokyo, 15 February, 1877.
